I love peppermint. Whether in the form of ice cream, candy canes, gum–it doesn’t really matter. One of the best things about the Christmas season is how minty everything becomes.
District Kitchen & Wine Bar at the Sheraton Downtown is featuring a candy cane martini this month and I simply had to have the recipe so I could share it with you all! You can enjoy this baby for $8 on Christmas Eve at their party–in case you didn’t want to make it yourself!
Enjoy!
District American Kitchen and Wine Bar’s
Candy Cane Martini
2 OZ. OF ½ & ½ CREAM
¼ OZ. OF STOLI VANILLA VODKA
1 ½ OZ. PEPPERMINT SCHNAPPS
¼ OZ. CRÈME DE MINT
½ OZ. CINNAMON SCHNAPPS
½ OZ. GODIVA WHITE CHOCOLATE
SPLASH OF GRENADINE SYRUP
INSTRUCTIONS:
MIX ALL THE HOLIDAY COMPONENTS INTO YOUR MARTINI SHAKER and ROLL BETWEEN THE SHAKER AND MIXING GLASS.
NEXT, TOP THE RIM OF YOUR MARTINI GLASS WITH CRUSHED CANDY CANES. THE RIM OF THE GLASS SHOULD BE ROLLED IN SIMPLE SYRUP SO THAT THE CANDY CANE WILL STICK TO THE GLASS.
FINALLY, TOP IT OFF WITH A DAB OF YOUR PEPPERMINT SCHNAPPS INFUSED WHIPPED CREAM AND SERVE COLD.
This sounds delicious Susie, thanks for sharing the recipe with us!
