I had the distinct pleasure of sampling Roaring Fork’s new brunch menu (as a guest of the restaurant) last Sunday with my dear friends Dave & Carol Porter from The Roaming Boomers.
We settled into the cozy restaurant and I was very excited taste what was in store.
The buffet style menu is a variation on standard Roaring Fork favorites. A standard that was not left behind is the Green Chile Pork Stew and butter tortillas.
I also enjoyed the green chili, cheddar and bacon grits and the green chili pork macaroni and cheese. (Are you sensing a pattern?)
The breakfast flat bread and quesadillas were hot, crispy with a nice Southwestern twist. Everything I tasted had a hint of spice but was warming to my soul.
The brunch has over 15 items on the menu all for a stellar deal: $19 a person. This menu and format will go thru Mother’s Day 2011.
Roaring Fork has also crafted signature mimosas and bloody mary’s that will be served for $5 each during brunch.
The Porter’s and I were in complete agreement about our favorite item of the day: Bananas Foster Bread Pudding.
Wow. That dessert was decadently rich with pecans, caramel and bananas. The only thing missing was a scoop of vanilla ice cream….(hint hint)
Looking for a brunch that is affordable and delicious? Check out the offerings at the Roaring Fork. You won’t be disappointed.
